Stretch-bend-levelling lines

Stretch-bend-levelling is a method by which thin metal strip is levelled. Through consistent development of the stretch-bend-levelling lines, B+S has proved to be a world market leader in levelling thin and very thin metal bands.

By means of force superposition (tension and bending) during the levelling proses, material parameters such as yield point, elongation and spring bending limit can be adjusted and the internal stress reduced. In this way form error such as waves, cross bow, coil set and camber can be reduced to a minimum.

Improving the quality of the metal strip in this way, optimises subsequent prosessing such as deep drawing and accuracy in shape of the end products. When applying surface coating, a stronger deposit thickness tolerance can be reached.
